Electroball Guide: Smash mode
General
Having trouble getting anywhere?? Although smash mode is far easier than freestyle, the later levels are taxing.
This is probably the first guide to electroball ever written!! And probably the
only one ever to be. Never mind; here it is.
Electroball never finishes.
It keeps generating more and more droids till you are completely and utterly
overwhelmed and die. How lovely. With this guide, I am going to change that.
You'll never die!! Here's the info from the basic guide (shortened):
The
difference between smash mode and freestyle? Smash mode makes your ball easy to
control, and freestyle makes it abominably hard to. Simple enough?
a)
Droids have invaded the BaseStation, and it's your job to exterminate them all.
b) They will track you down. Each hit takes away 10 shield. c) Although
you can kill droids in 2 ways, trust me, for smash mode, only becoming
electroball is worth it. You become invincible for a short time, and chase down
the droids and run into them to destroy them. However, they'll scatter to evade
you when you are electroball. "They aren't as dumb as they appear to be". d)
As you advance in level, you will have to deal with more, stronger and faster
droids. Here are the specs:
Forward = Up Arrow Backward = Down
Arrow Turn Left = Left Arrow Turn Right = Right Arrow
ElectroFlash
(Discharge 1 ElectroPack)= Left Mouse Button (this is the useless attack mode;
always go electroball)
CTRL + S = Pause / Stop / Continue
Options
Scoring
Pick up Coin = 20 points
Destroy slow droid (blue, or rather grey) = 50 points
Destroy medium droid (brown) = 100 points
Destroy fast droid (green, looks more like gold to me) = 150 points
Destroy very fast droid (red) = 200 points
Other
There are 3 things you need to bear in mind while playing:
1) The level number x 2 is the number of droids you must kill. (usually;
sometimes it plays up and gives you less at the start and more later on).
2) Bear in mind how long an electroball shield lasts, and always watch your
number of shield points left.
3) The levels rotate every 4th level so level 1 is the same as level 5, 9, 13
etc. Level 2 is the same as level 6, 10, 14 etc.
Hint and Tips
1) Roll around the sides avoiding the droids till you get 5 packs. Just roll up,
along and round the sides.
2) Use the springs in level 1 and 4!! Roll into them in the later levels and
just bounce up and down collecting packs till become the electroball! This is
important, especially on level 1, because when you're operating on a virtually
2d plain, you can get cornered and massacred. For level 4, try and get in it
near the end of shield life.
3) On level 4, get a shield and then use it to get to the electropacks in areas
normally extremely hard to reach w/o a shield! Then you have a defence shield
1st, an attacking shield second, and then when you run out, the normal packs are
back again for a 3rd!! And the cycle continues.
4) I've noticed that as the levels go on, the electropacks come back quicker.
However, the electroball shield time stays the same, or decreases in operational
length very slowly.
As I discover more, you'll find out soon too. :)

Electroball Guide: Freestyle
General + Scoring + Other
As above.
Hints and Tips
1) I
still think that becoming electroball is better than trying to control the ball
AND clicking the mouse, so still try and become electroball; unless you have a
friend who can click right when you tell them to, save the packs up again.
2) The electropacks regenerate WAY quicker in freestyle, so although you can
only kill 2 droids in one shield length (it'll probably get easier when there're
more droids), you can always get another.
3) Rolling around the sides to get certain electropacks is impossible now, but
you get flung off the sides better.
4) When airborne, pressing up makes you go back, and vice versa. The same
applies for left going right, and right going left.
How to play Hoopshoot!!
General
Hoopshoot is the new game in the Loft. There is also a version in the villa, but the loft is better.=P
Onceagain, there are 2 different modes of playing Hoopshoot: the first is Freestyle, and the second is Time Attack.
Freestyle
This mode doesn't place any pressure on you at all. You just play; you can
continue playing till clicking "stop game", but it ends after 9 1/2 mins. This
is "ideal for perfecting your game". The only difference to this between playing
freestyle and playing w/o even starting a game is that it scores for you. You
can get 2 points or 3 points, depending on where you score from. So far, the
only place I've scored 3 from is by the doors of the court.
Time Attack
For Time attack, you get 3 mins to score as many points as you can. Each score
gets you 1.5 secs back as a time bonus.
Controls
Forward = Up Arrow
Backward = Down Arrow
Turn Left = Left Arrow
Turn Right = Right Arrow
Pick Up Ball = Double click on ball
Find Lost Ball = Double Click on Backboard
Shoot Ball = Left Click and Hold (then release)
Hints and Tips
1) Stay in the same position as much as possible. If you can score easily and
frequently from one position during the whole game, that's the winning
ticket.
2) If you lose the ball, just double-click the backboard. Don't chase it like in
normal life.
3) Practice makes perfect. ^_~
As with electroball, more will be added when I find it out.
